Monday Pond Running
COVID- 19, “ The Rona Era”
Fall keeps knocking on summer’s door. At least early in the morning he knocks. I had to get out the headlight this morning for my 5:30 a.m. run. I remember when it was super bright out. That is slowly fading. Today, I ran around Horn Pond. It was quiet. Just me and the stalkers. The cool thing this morning were the left over signs for a race. Signs, posters, messages of encouragement on the pavement. I had my own motivational cheer signs as I ran this morning.
68 degrees was the perfect cool temperature to be out running this morning. Unfortunately I got a late start. My goal was to run a 5k this morning. When I looked at my watch it was 6:15a.m. and I had to go. HVAC folks were coming at 7 a.m. 5k didn’t fully happen this morning. My goal is to make sure to get the rest of those miles in.
It was a good morning. Plus, I broke in my new Nike shoes for Track Tuesday. They held up pretty well. I am still a Brooks Glycerin shoe girl.
