Wednesday rain and miles
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
I don’t want to jinks the fall like morning weather . I did wear a long sleeve running shirt to go walking this morning. It’s going to be raining on an off all day long, and we need the rain. Before I headed out, I did 15 minutes of yoga and then I hit the pavement. I was smart enough this morning to wear my hat just in case in rained while I was out. I actually debated if I should carry an umbrella with me while I walked. I like my hands to be free, no on the umbrella.
I mixed up my neighborhood walking route. I walked by the rental car center then behind East Boston Stadium. From there I picked up the greenway and went through the parks- Brenman and Pier’s Park. It was a really good walk. I felt like I could run. I really wanted to run but I know better.
It was great to see all the cool art and social justice designs at the library. I was able to see- up close- the new construction that is happening across the street from the park. Because everyone needs luxury condos and to have their view obstructed by new construction.
While I was walking I thought about sending a letter or email to Wyoming state rep Liz Cheney to thank her for her bravery and convictions. I appreciate her being a voice, a compass of reason. As this is a mid-term election year. I was thinking about sending letters of thanks and support for those in government that are doing the right thing and continuing to fight the fight because it’s hard.
I had a lot on my mind. My goal of 4 miles didn’t happened because it started to rain. 3.60 miles for the morning win.
