Recovery Week Starts
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
On Friday I had the last surgery. I call it the Tyrone final refresh. For over a year and a half I’ve had the tissue expand-er in my right breast. My first first has gone through a lumpectomy, and radiation. She has healed and now it was time to take the expand-er out in put new soft implants in my right and left breast to finish this process. We kicked Tyrone ( cancer out) and this is the house renovation.
The healing process means no running for at least 4-5 weeks. I think I won’t run until September. August is healing. That doesn’t mean I can’t walk or stretch. Slow movements. And being mindful of what I put into my mouth.
Today, was the first day I walked outside. I wasn’t going fast. I just wanted to move. I’m still swollen and these girls are heavy. I feel as if I am leaning forward too much because of the girls.
Monday, was the first day that I could shower and see what was under the surgical bra. And there was a lot there. :).
This morning. I walked 1.81 miles in my neighborhood. I’m not at a point to start stretching yet because I’m still swollen, but maybe next week I can do a little stretching.
Here we go…Recovery…..
