Last a.m. run before Surgery
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This is my last run before surgery. Friday I’m having my last breast surgery procedure. Tyrone( cancer) has been taken out. He was radiated and should return ever again. Now that I’m all healed up, it’s time to renovate the girls. My expand-er will come out and implants will go in both breast. They call it “ sister breast” to have some evenness, as close as possible. This means 4-5 weeks without running. Which I have been preparing for. I’ve been through this, so I know what to expect. I know that I will be able to walk and move, which always makes me happy. I’ll be ready for September and October races that I have lined up. At least the October ones.
This morning, I ran along the Mystic River Reservation and saw my stalkers. I took my time and soaked everything in. Especially since we are in a middle of a heatwave. No need to go fast.
