Snowy miles around the Lake
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
I woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow on the ground. It was too warm for the snow to cover the roads but it was on the grass, trees, and cars. Since I was with the Iowan last night, I would take my chances and run around Horn Pond. I’m sure the path around the lake was covered with snow but hopefully it was a light covering.
I was in awe as I drove to the pond and saw how beautiful the pond looked with the snow on the trees and the reflection from the pond. It was just so lovely. When I parked, I made sure to get all the photos before I started running. Sure enough no one was out, at least that I could see.
There was snow on the path but I could still run. The views of the pond kept getting prettier and prettier as I ran. I saw three people with their cameras and super lens taking photos. That just made me smile.
I ran around the pond twice, which was a litte over four miles. Then my friend Bevely called me. So I walked for a mile and chatted with her. This morning felt more of a walking, stroll, and just take it all in kind of morning.
5 miles overall. I’m glad I took in the views and put some miles on the pavement.
