Wednesday Fall Running around the pond
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Today is the day after my mom’s birthday. Well, after celebrating it with candlelit music, drinks, food, and the Iowan at City Winery. Getting up this morning was a struggle. I wasn’t in the mood. I needed sleep but I also needed to run. Maybe wanted to run. The back and forth of “ to run or not” is exhausting as well.
I decided to do a run/walk around Horn Pond at 6:45a.m. Which may sound early to most, but it was late for me. I was created by lovely fall colors, leaves, and a brisk chill. I started out walking. Once I got my power walk going then I ran for a mile. If I didn’t have to be at my coffee shop to work by 8:30, I might have run 4 miles.
I was happy with my two and it was the kick start that I needed for my day. I keep telling myself, come December, “ Marathon Training Season” it will be nothing up early morning runs.
