First Monday a.m. run of 2022
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
First run of the new year on Saturday. Rested on Sunday. Monday is hit the pavement day. Today it feels like winter. 25 degrees and windy AF. There are parts of the start that have already gotten snow, so far. And there is more snow to come today.
I struggled this morning. I did not want to get out of bed. Slowly, I got up and started to do some stretching. By slowly, I was up around 5:45a.m. instead of 5 a.m. By 6:20a.m. I was parked at Deer Island. I knew this would be a 5k run and the views would be pretty. It was still dark. I’m glad I had the island to myself. I just kept running. I felt good and was in my zone.
