9 degrees and 5k
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
We are suppose to get a Nor’easter this weekend. Already, the temperature is getting ready for the snow. When I woke up it was 6 degrees. I went back to bed, hoping that waking up later it would be warmer. I was right. It reached 9 degrees. I needed to start moving my body because the double digits wouldn’t happened until noon.
Did some light stretching and drove to the Mystic River Reservations. I gave myself permission to run a mile. A mile is great in this cold weather. Of course there was no one running or around besides my crazy ass. Correction, my stalkers were out. Huddle all together.
I was properly layered and I just ran. The goal was a mile. I ran from the Somerville side to the Medford side of the mystic. The more I ran, the warmer I felt. I made it my goal, after I saw I had run 2.23 miles just to make it a 5k run. 3.28 miles/ 10:5/mile pace.
