5 miler before first day
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
21 degrees out. I’m just happy that there is no wind and it’s calm outside. Wednesdays and Fridays are 8 a.m. teaching days. I’m working on the “ right” time to get up and run before getting ready to teach class. This week we are remote and I have some wiggle room. My alarm went off at 4:45 a.m. I didn’t start moving until 5:15a.m. Slow moving and stretching had to happen first before putting on my running gear.
Normally this would be a 10k a.m. humpday run. But I’m following the Hal H. Marathon training plan. Today was a 5 miler. I ran along the waterfront for the 5 miler. It was quiet with no one in sight. I thought I had a good and steady run. My pace was around 10:19. I need to work on that.
The music, the weather, all apart of a good, getting ready groove. Unfortunatlity I didn’t come home until 6:58a.m. which left a little time to get ready.
Something to work on.
