Sun showed up for Track Tuesday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era’
This morning the sun is out. I don’t think I’ve seen the sun for days. Yeah. Today is track Tuesday and Radiation day #5. Yesterday I ran over 3 miles and I went to Physical Therapy for my groin “annoyance” and I want to test out my running abilities this morning. I felt tired getting up. Not sure if it’s because of radiation. I didn’t leave the house until 6a.m.
The goal this morning is to be back by 7a.m. If I had the energy I would have been out running by 5:30a.m. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. I’m laced up and out the door.
When I arrived on the track there was a young boy running and two women running up the stadium steps. Soon, there were more people walking on the track. Today I noticed all the people on the track were Latinx. Except for me, the white guy on the field kicking soccer balls and the weird white man that decided to run in the opposite directions as the rest of us, running on the track.
Today I tried to run faster on the straight aways and slow down on the curbs. To my surprise I had a pacer . I made the young boy running a head of me my pacer, unbeknown to him. :). I started to get into the groove.
When I hit the 3 mile mark, I did a couple rounds of stadium steps before running home.
Mile 1: 11:09 min/ml
Mile 2. 10:17 min/ml
Mile 3. 10:32min/ml
Mile 4. 10: 50min/ml
Overall 4.26, 45:34; 10:41 Ave pace
Still progressing and building
