June 1st: Track Tuesday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Today we start the halfway point, month of 2021. I can’t believe it’s June already. Unfortunately for me, June will be the month of walking and no running. I’m just happy that I’m able to walk and move while I heal from breast reconstruction surgery. It’s been less than 96 hours from surgery and I’m feeling better. Still sore and minimal pain. Today is day two of me walking.
Today is the first track Tuesday of June. My plan is to take my time and walk to the track for a bit. Yesterday I walked for 2 miles. Today I’m thinking I’ll do about the same. I’m still a hot mess. Swollen breast, on my period, and I think I might have groin pain( self diagnose from Wed M.D), I’m still walking.
This morning was the first morning without rain. All weekend, memorial day weekend it rained. The air was fresh this morning. When I walked to the track, I saw black and brown folks working out, running the stadium steps, and walking on the the track too.
My swollen boob helped me fight off the urge to walk faster on the track. I walked around the track and marco polo( video chat) a couple of my friends while I walked. The 57 degree cool weather also helped to keep me moving and motivated.
Just a side note: Second day of walking, second sighting of stalker bunny.
When I walked home I had been walking for an hour. 3.56 miles , 1:09:05; 19:24min/ml pace.
