Easter Saturday Run in the City
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
It’s Easter Saturday and it’s still cold. It doesn’t even feel like Easter to me. I can’t believe I haven’t been to church in a year. I just can’t, I won’t do zoom church. I feel very much disconnected and out of the spiritual loop. My running thought today, was to run in the city. The duckling would surely be dressed up and their will be dandelions everywhere. I need to see something that reminds me of Easter.
I ran through the Boston Commons and Public Gardens. To my disappointment the ducklings were not dressed up. They were in hockey gear. I didn’t see any dandelions, I guess it’s too early. I did see people are the Haymarket, market. Otherwise, the city was quiet this morning and I didn’t see any signs of spring or Easter. Bummer.
I got 2.71 miles in. I should have pushed for a 5k but I didn’t want my car to get ticketed. The meters start from 8a.m-8p.m. When I ran to my car it was 7:59a.m. No one has time to look for change.
