10k a.m. run to kick off the Lenten Season
COVID-19, “The Rona Era’
Today is the start of Lent. 40 days and 40 nights until Easter. The purpose of the Lenten season is to set time aside for reflection and self examination. Its an opportunity to go deeper with God and think about the sacrifice, life, death, and burial of Jesus Christ. My 10k a.m. run, I reflected on my upcoming surgery ( tomorrow) and priorities and goals that need to be reexamine in my life.
Running downtown along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Seaport Area, and North End, I thought about goals ,sacrifice and priorities. To my surprise, I found love. All kinds of love which made me happy and reflect on the power of love. I know I am loved by so many. True, deep, amazing friendship love as well as family love. As I go through this surgery and cancer process, I am loved and not alone.
Running is more than running.
