Monday a.m. light show
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Here we go. Yet, another Monday. No snow this morning but it is warm, at 42 degrees and windy. This is how I started my Monday on the Mystic run. I was doubled layered with my vest and coat, to start off with. I had on my hat, gloves, and running light to finish my look. The run started at 6a.m. and it was still dark out. It was quiet. I was the only person on the trail, which was fine by me. At 6 a.m. I saw a couple of my stalkers but I couldn’t hear them. Around 6:30/6:45 when it was getting lighter, I heard them loud and clear.
I didn’t stretch, this morning, which was a big no-no. To my surprise, my pelvic floor annoyance level ranged from .05 to 1, which is pretty good. I was feeling strong, steady, and energized when I ran. I wasn’t tried or lost energy. That tells me I’m doing better on fueling my body.
While on the trail I passed two men. I’m going to assume they were men by their body shape and size, walking on the trail. They had bright headlights on. I saw the light beams before I saw them. I had my green light on. I’m sure they saw me. What was disappointining, seeing two women of color walking together- Yeah for walking together, but they didn’t have on any light or reflective gear while walking. I’m glad they were together walking in the dark but ladies…get a light.
I kept on running. By this time, the wind had settled down and it was just a nice morning run. The colors in the sky made my morning. Grey , black, and blue colors turned into red, orange, and pink . The sky looked like a canvas picture. Miles and art on a Monday morning, who knew. My mile tracker was acting up. It said I run 6 miles, but I’m sure it was 4 or 5. My battery life apparently was messing up the GPS tracking system. 4 or 5 miles, I got miles in and enjoyed my run.
