Last Monday a.m. run of November 2021
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This weekend it was cold as shit! We were suppose to get snow. It didn’t happen but I felt it in my knees, it was that cold. This morning it was 38 degrees out, fairly warm, compared to the weekend.
This is the last week, the last Monday of November. Everyone is back from Thanksgiving break, so traffic was busy and steady. Since I didn’t run yesterday, my rest day, I wanted to take advantage of today.
Mondays are always Mystic River running mornings. I ran a 5 miler along the river. While running, I passed a couple of bicycle riders, who said “ Happy Monday” and i saw another black girl running this morning. I later found out she is apart of BGR, she knows me from my multiple post and selfies. She never post anything but was excited to see me run. She sent me a facebook message afterwards.
I did see a couple of people running later in the morning. It was a calm, nice, steady run this morning.
It took me over an over to run 5 miles. Normally, I normally can run a 10k in an hour and some change. Not today. I was taking my time and a bit distracted by the pausing of my “ Map my run app” which would pause and unpause on its own. Technical issues on a Monday. Ha!
I’m proud to get miles in and not be in pain or have a high annoyance around my pelvic floor. #Progress
