10k a.m. Last Friday August Run
COVID-19, ‘The Rona Era”
Another cool morning for an a.m. run. Today I was running a 10k no matter what! I made that promise to myself and I was going to keep it. Yesterday, was a rest day. I walked 2 miles in the morning. It’s not the same as running. My energy yesterday was just blah. I think it was a combination of walking and not running plus my period had started. I was not as productive or had the amount of energy I normally would.
That was yesterday. Today I woke up before my alarm and I was out the door by 5:30 a.m. Then I went and got my headlight because it was still dark/twilight out.
I noticed when I run slow, take my time, my knees feel great and I feel strong. Starting off that way, I can then pick up the pace at a comfortable speed.
I ran along the waterfront to see the city slowly waking up. Then I got a glimpse of a red beautiful sky. I thought, girl on fire! Glad I was up to see that.
It was sad to see in my 6.16 miles none of my stalker geese around. I think they all went back to school.
As I continued the run, the weather stayed cool and all the construction men and men who work early in the morning were out. One said Hi to me, which was nice.
I ran over two bridges, through the park, along the water to complete my miles for Friday. Because later today I have meetings from 10-5.
Morning = my time.
