Mural run
COVID-u19 “ The Rona Era”
10k a.m. humpday. The last humpday in August which is so crazy to me. This month has just flown by. This morning I wanted really run a 10k. The weather is perfect, 69 degrees, breezy and cool. I’m up and my body feels good. I’m ready for the run.
But what happened was……………………..
I ran into murals. I found the underground mural art project which is just amazing. I never knew this even existed. Cheers to running and exploring. These bold, beautiful colors, and images of black woman, native women were just stunning. I was in total awe. Walking, taking pictures, and just being in awe of it all. Then there was a bridge that went over to South Boston by the Broadway T station. Since I don’t go over that way, I had no idea that was there. It was such a nice surprise.
Unfortunately, I started to get a text from my V.P. who wanted to talk about the Chairs meeting that happened yesterday. By this time it was around 7:30a.m. Normally I would have been done running but I was taking in art.
I told my VP, she could call me at 7:45a.m. By the time I made it back to my car for the call 4.50 miles was complete.
I thought if this was a quick call , I’ll finish the 1.50 extra miles. As she was giving me details, I knew this would not be quick. While talking to her I drove to get the air pressure on my tires fixed.
I may later today, after zooming, finish off the 1.50 extra miles. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to run a continuous 10k.
