Make your own caption for Saturdays a.m. run
COVID-19 “ The Rona Era”
Today is a sad day. Fall’s visit with summer is over. We are back to the hotness and humidity of summer. I tried to get up early for Saturday’s run but that was a no go. Friday night I crashed a prom, there were cocktails and snacks and cocktails. Before the Rona, I was going to crash the prom of one of my closest friends son’s prom. Actually she and I were planning to crash it together. Of course that didn’t happen. Last night, her son decided that he wanted a prom with his girlfriend. It was very cute and sweet. The young adults got dressed up, and their parents decorated the backyard, plus they had music, small bites, and cocktails.
So I didn’t get home until 11pm from the merriment. It didn’t help talking on the phone until 12 a.m. with my Iowan. All of that to say, getting moving at 6 a.m. was a struggle. I planned on a long run today. I think the long run will happen on Sunday.
Today was 4.48 miles running in the heat in downtown Boston. Before 7 a.m. I was sweating. I did see my friend Abeo running, which was an awesome surprise.
For the most part downtown was quiet. I did see men, many without their shirts running and a few women running around. A run would not be complete with out seeing stalker geese.
Note to self to get up early and run tomorrow because I am soaked this morning.
