My Favorite Ambassador
COVID-19 “ The Rona Era”
It’s Franklin Park Friday. My BGR Boston co-ambassador K., was off Friday morning and wanted to know if “we”were running in the part at 5 a.m. We? I had to laugh. She is one of the only people that I will run in the morning with. I suggested 5:15a.m instead but I’m usually waking up at 5.
When I got up this morning at 4:45a.m the rain was coming down hard. I wasn’t sure if we would run on not. I thought it the rain may stop or be lighter by the time I get to Franklin Park. If not I would just go home, gas is cheap and it is a 10 minute drive.
K. told me that the lightening had stopped and asked if we are still on. Lightening? I told her I would be there by 5:30 a.m. By the time I went to the Park, the rain and we had the park to ourselves. Both us had on our mask and acknowledge how good it was to see each other.
Since my Hoffa Fat Pad knee was bothering me, I asked if we could walk. K. was all about it. For 3.1 miles we walked, talked, and caught up. She suggested that I use Ben Gay and Ice my knee, which I did not even think about. I’m glad we could connect and have these talks.
When we reached our 5k, the rain was starting back up. We finished just in time.
