Nature, Love, and No Justice
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This morning was a bit cooler. I should just stop making weather commentary because it is summer, my not favorite time of the year to run. I was hoping for a cool breeze by nature for Thursdays a.m. run. Today I ran along the Mystic River Reservation. This would be a good testing ground for my knee since I saw the accupuntist on Wednesday and didn’t run. I need to get back on my 10k a.m. humpday plan.,
On my run, I ran into a turtle, just chilling. Clearly the turtle made it from the river to the pavement. That was the first for me, seeing a turtle while running. Also out before 6:30a.m. were lots of fishermen. They were social distancing and minding their own business. I made sure to mind mine and not take pictures of them.
As expected, people were out running, walking, and going to work. Lots of the construction folks. To my surprise and happy I saw all the fowls. Geese, swans, and ducks. I was geeked out by it all.
Besides all the fowls, I saw on the pavement “ You see no Justice, No peace.”
Running has taken on a new publicly social justice stance. Someone would have to blind or indifferent not to take notice.
I notice my knee feels better than before. More work needs to be done on it but it feels better. I just need to build my stamina and try to get to a 10k.
4.13 miles of seeing love, nature, and a lack of justice.
