Modified 10k a.m. humpday
COVID-19 “The Rona Era”
10k a.m. humpday and the sun is out by 5:20 a.m. Summer is coming. I wanted to get a good run in this morning because I have several long zoom meetings today. Since running by water always makes me happy, I ran downtown in the Seaport district. It has been a while since I was down that way. 57 degrees, sunny, blue sky, water, and construction men all around.
The governor gave the o.k. for building and construction workers to start back up again. In the early a.m. I saw all the men,. I didn’t see any women. The men hard hats and reflective vest on. I guess they were happy to be back to work.
What I did see while running was “ running couples”. There were at least three men and women couples running and talking together. I just find that so weird. One, talking while running but running in tandem. I know I run in groups of people but there are many different running levels and there are so many of us. But running in twos? Not my thing .
The 10k a.m. run became a 4.54 run in the quiet of downtown. Seaport, financial district, and the north end was apart of my running loop. The reality of the Rona Era was cutting my run short to get ready and prepare for the 7 hours of zoom meetings.
I’m happy that I got miles in period. Humpday was a good and lovely morning.
