Last TT before #45

Last TT before #45

Fall came back to visit today, Yeah! It’s cool, foggy, and just so lovely. Today is Track Tuesday(TT), the last TT before I go off to State #45 Alaska. I’ll miss two track tuesdays because I will be traveling to Alaska and then traveling from Alaska,, haha. Today we worked on pace, form, and endure. We did 4 sets of threes. 1 time around the track at 10k pace, rest for a minute. 1 time around the track at 5k pace, 1 minute rest, then 1 time around the track at mile pace. 2 minute break and repeat the set 3 more times.

It was super humid out and the sweat kept coming. I’m always surprised at how much I can sweat, where does it all come from. I wasn’t along on the sweat train. I appreciate our pacer and team blue. We kept each other going and motivated. I actually ran faster than my normal time. Oh the benefits of running with a group.

It will be a week until I leave for the biggest and last milestone before the end. This means a lot to me. As I look at each shirt, I’m flooded with the memory of each of the milestones and what they meant to me.

State #25- Nevada. I ran this on my 43rd birthday and I was with my cousins. They ran their first 5k on my birthday and I got to hang out with my Reno cousins that I don’t get to see often

State #30- Tennessee. I ran across the Mississippi River and went to my mother’s alumna Lane College. I saw cotton for the first time and the pre- race activities were so soulful

State #35- New Mexico. My first time visiting this state. I saw the Rio Grande for the first time, my friend Valerie came to visit, touched 4 states at once( four corners), walked on part of route 66, and meet members of Black Girls Rock 50 states.

State #40- Oklahoma. Dad joined me for this. We ran on part of route 66. Black Girls Run showed up and showed out. Visited Black Wall Street, the federal building in Oklahoma City, and University of Oklahoma
