Slow and Steady 10k am
Yup, 80 degrees at 5 a.m. July running is not for me. It was best that I find some water to run next to. For today’s 10k I parked in South Boston and ran to Castle Island. At least there was a bit of a cool breeze but this chic was sweating hard. Because light comes so early there were a lot of runners and walkers out by 5:30am. I think we all had the same idea.
I know with this heat it is important to run slow and pace myself. I was in no hurry and I wasn’t trying to make time. Plus I’m still soar from Saturday’s half marathon 1,800 elevation drop in Utah. I will have to take it easy on Friday. Despite the heat and hotness, I do love running into the sun.
