Strong and Shells

It’s Monday and it’s July 1st. What a combo. Today is the day I got back on the horse and went to the Cal-Zone for Strong 30. I can’t remember the last time I was at the Cal-Zone and did core strength training. It happens, we fall off our game and get into bad habits. Or we let other things become a priority. To be honest, since I was training for a marathon and doing varies running workouts I didn’t have the time or money to put into the Cal-Zone. I was still moving and exercising but I wasn’t doing any of the core strength training. Now things have calm now and I can get back into the habit.

Today’s Strong 30- kicked my ass, and rightly so. It was good to see the ladies and be in a place and with people that are supportive and we struggle together. I got a lot of “ welcome back” today.

After the 30 minutes of intense weights and strong, I walked/ran on the beach for a mile. I had to remember to let my body rest. It was good to hear the waves and look at the shells. I have a shell thing, I know.

Here’s to the start of July, getting strong, completing State #44, and writing goals. Oh and fun and drinks too.
