Not a long run but a run
Sunday’s plan was going to be a long run. Yesterday was muggy and rainy and I wanted to get the run in before it rained on Sunday, which it was suppose to. It was bright, sunny, and 68 degrees at 5:45am. I have to remind myself that it is summer and the heat and daylight happen a lot sooner than later.
To mix things up, I went to Deer Island because it has been a while since I’ve run on the island. There was something relaxing and calming of hearing the water and taking in the sea breeze. I wanted to just be still and take it in. I ran 3.50 miles for a.m. run and then I just stopped to observe and feel the water and breeze. 5:45a.m is too late to run. I have to make sure to get up earlier so I can get miles in and take in the views and surrounding.
