Outdoor Track
This is the last week of working out with the Heartbreakers. I’m still tapering, just running super light. I’ve never run with the group outdoors, which is a big switch from being in the Reggie Lewis Center. For some reason I thought it was going to warm out this morning. I was so wrong. Running tights and my Ohio University sweat shirt was a joke. I should have had gloves, hat, scarf, and a coat on. Alas, I did not. The outdoor track workout is on the MIT track, just down the street for the running studio.
This morning the track was not ours. The ROTC was running on the track this morning. I didn’t know ROTC was on MIT’s campus. Today was a first: running on the streets as a group. We ran together for two of our eight min. warm up. Since this is an outdoor track we only had to go around twice instead of four times for our 800s.
My body was a bit slow when starting but once she got going. It was good. We probably did about 4 -5 miles. I’m still tapering
