Ending the 1st week of Training

It’s winter, it’s cold, period. Today, my running training plan has a 5 mile run today. But it’s cold. I did not bother to run in the early a.m this Saturday morning because I will be up early on Sunday Morning running 13.1 miles. And my logic is the later it is, the warmer it might be. I ran around 2pm on Saturday. I ran around Deer Island in Winthrop. It has been a long while since I’ve run the island. I thought it would be empty but I was wrong. There were people, bundled up walking, walking dogs, and I saw on person running.

The sunny blue sky does not tell the picture of how cold and windy it is. I planned on getting a 3k in because I’m tired( being on your period and running is always run). I surprised myself and kept going until I reached 5.11 miles. For week one, I followed the training plan and challenged myself in all kinds of ways.
