Sweat in my ear, running while black on the brain

I know it's July but the a.m. muggy is a bit much. Goodness!! All this week I have jury duty so I have to get up earlier or just have short runs if I want to make it to the court house on time. This morning, it was a short 5k run.

Also this morning there was a Fuel for thought moment: When will someone call the police on me for running while black. This morning as I'm running my route, there was a white young lady who happen to run in front of me. I turned a corner and there she was. We were running in the same direction, making the same turn. I was running  behind her, going at a steady pace. I wondered if she thought I was following her. I wonder if she would call the police.

This is real and something that can happen.
