Starting off Monday with a view
Since I ran 10 miles on Sunday I went easy today with a 3.54 mile run. Monday was a morning for a change up run. It has been a while since I ran on Deer Island, today was my change. Especially after the oops from last night Oscar Awards which kept me up, I still was a bit tired. I knew I had to get up and get moving.
On my way to Deer Island, the early morning sky was such a pretty pink. I was hoping to catch it while I was running. I wasn't sure if that would be possible, so I stopped at Winthrop Beach on my way to get a get photo. And it was perfect timing, perfect view, perfect weather for that moment.
Then when I went to Deer Island I could run my miles without interruption and just pace myself with the cold ass wind. The beauty it was me and my thoughts. I wasn't worried about getting into work early. It was the first Monday back from School Vacation and Monday's are slow anyway.
If the beauty of the morning was a sign, it was going to be a good day
