Sunflowers: Bye Summer, Hello Fall

Sunflowers: Bye Summer, Hello Fall

Saturday long am Fall run. It's 57 degrees out. Sunny and chilly. I think we have officially started the fall running season.  Fall did start on September 22. Regardless, I was not ready to run in fall weather this morning. Wearing shorts and a long sleeve shirt did not cut it. It is time for the running gloves and the long running pants.

Today was important for my 10 mile run. I knew I would be working all day, sitting, reading, grading and wouldn't see light of day until tomorrow. Plus I would be in my office on campus all day. Torture.

Running my long route, I saw all kinds of "fall and Halloween" decorations outside yards and houses. The highlight of the run was seeing all those full and beautiful sunflowers. For some reason they make me think of Fall and Summer. Because Fall, just happened, seeing those sunflowers were just right. As we are just now ending summer and starting Fall.

Love a Fall Saturday Morning Run
