Sunflowers and the Track
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Another Track Tuesday in July. At least this morning it is 75 degrees and there is less humidity. Compared to the last two days , this morning was cooler and very pleasant. My plan was to run a couple miles but I ran 4.05 miles this morning. I ran through Breman Park where the lawn sprinklers were going nonstop and that added to the cool of the morning. A sunny surprise was seeing all beauty of the yellow, tall sunflowers. I paused for my overly excited sunflower photoshoot.
I kept running through the park until I reached the Stadium. I did 10 squats and started running. My track running goal was to run around the track four times. This time I saw more people working out on the field than running on the track. I assume it was a workout class in the middle of the field and a solo guy flipping tires on the other end. There were more people running up and down the stadium steps. I wasn’t doing that today.
After the fourth time around I ran towards home. When I got home I had 3.71 miles clocked in. Since I’m so close and I was feeling good, I ran an extra .34 miles for a total of 4.05 miles.
Today was a good running track day.
