This Street of Mine: Building muscle stamina (again)
Let's just be real, Monday's are never easy. Especially knowing you are halfway through the month of August. I want to vomit. For me, being an academic, my "season" is about to start. I've already seen the back to school commercials, Halloween candy in the store, and pre-season football scrimmages happening.
It's important to get that Monday am run in before the storm of back to school craz-craz starts.
This morning before my Cal- Zone Bodyshred at 6am, I wanted to get a quick run in. Besides people waiting on the bus to go to work the street was bare. I kind of felt like Usain Bolt (in my head I was.)
The street was mine for the taking. I could run in the middle of the street if I wanted. I could run on the sidewalk or I could zig-zag across the street. LOL. Too many options at 5:30am but I could.
I ran to end of the street and ran back to the Cal-Zone.
It had been a while since I went to Bodyshred class and I was a sweat pool, dead pool, tired pool of something. My muscle stamina was not as strong as it had been. It happens.
You go on vacation, take a break, or go into a blissful drinking and eating binge.
I own it, I accept it, and will not beat myself up over it. It's done. Today was a new day to work on building that muscle stamina and reduce the wine consumption for the week. :)
