Haunting and Lovely First October Run
First run in October. And I'm thankful it was not raining. Saturday it poured. As I said before, I don't run in the rain. I know my body was thankful to rest. Plus I made Saturday a trinity day(coffee, water, prosecco) with one of my favorites.
So today I had to run. Normally I'll run 10-11 miles for my long run weekends. Today 8 miles was good enough. To celebrate my first run in October I ran to the Revere Beach. It was 55 degrees out and I was layered and covered.
When I got to the beach, it was foggy, breezy, and thewater / waves were in nonstop motion. Just looking at the beach, it was haunting, eerie, and lovely. The shells, the birds, the " left overs" for low tide. I thought how fitting for October. It was just me and the birds out this first Sunday in October morning.
We'll see what this month will bring
