7 miles for Mom's 70th Birthday

Today is a very special day. This is the first run back in the bean after #20 and the two country run. :). Today is also my mom's birthday. Today should would have been the big 7-0. She passed away 3 months before her 65th birthday, another big life mile marker that we were not able to celebrate together

Today I went running in the am. I wasn't going to run 70 miles but I ran 7 miles plus one more for good luck. It rained last night and a bit early this morning. I went through the process of " do I or don't I run?". Even if the rain kept going, I had to run for mom.

I'm glad I did go because it was wet out and it did rain again while I was running and then it went away.

I can't believe it's been 5 years of not buying presents, giving her hugs and kisses. But I ran and had on my momma tunes.

Later tonight I will drink champagne and eat fried chicken! LOL.

Just last year, I ran state #7 on her birthday and had some bubbles. Overall this is a good way to celebrate her because I think about her all the time.

I think she would enjoy the 61 degree weather and seeing the Boston skyline by the water.
