Day before the 4th Fireworks
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
The day before the 4th and the fireworks have already started. We had some pre fireworks last night around the Harbor. Last night I was tired. My period is coming and the hormones and body aches were kicking. It was an early night. This morning, I still felt a bit crampy. On the Every Women’s Marathon training plan, today is a 3miler.
I need to get the basic downs and get my body ready and trained for this Marathon. The plan was to run 3 miles without stopping. Right now I’m not there. I’m not including me stopping to take pictures. Part of the build and 20 weeks, is to get to a point to run a 5k without stopping, then a 10k, then 15k, etc…
I did a loop around the walkway by the Hyatt, through the Shipyard, past Pier’s Park, and to the Greenway- past the stadium and back home. That was 3.05 miles at a 10:34 mile pace. My time- 32:10.
This is a baseline and a good place to start. It was a lovely day to run at 6 a.m. Since it’s the day before the Holiday, people were out walking and running early in the morning. It was a good humpday. A good reminder of slow and steady
