Thursday Summer Muggy
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
It’s summer time. My running miles have been reduced. Why? Because it’s summer and hot. Also, strength training class on Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 6:15a.m. take over. I may run two or three times a week. That is ok. This morning, since I didn’t have class I wanted to get some miles in. More than a 5k which is a good baseline for me. 5 miles seems good.
At 5:30a.m. it was already 76 degrees and humid. I wasn’t in a hurry. I wanted to be strong and steady. When the weather is like this, it’s important to hydrate and keep electrolytes in me. I was a bit thirsty running this morning. That was a clear sign.
I would get a breeze once in a while. I ran from Boston to Chelsea and back to Boston. Over a couple of bridges, traffic back-up, sun coming down, and lots of sweat happening before 6:30a.m.
5:10 miles
Time: 53:43
