First Run of Summer 2023
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
It is officially summer. Summer Solstice started yesterday, Wednesday. I planned on running but I was tired and didn’t feel like getting up, I wanted to sleep in. I realized that I’ve been back for one week from Hawaii. When I came back I didn’t rest, I kept going. Not smart. Yesterday I rested. Today I ran.
I wanted to make sure to get up early in run because Thursdays at 7 a.m. is when I talk to my friend B as she drives to work. It’s our weekly catch up time. I wanted to make sure I was finish running before our call. This morning it’s a cool 55 degrees, perfect weather before the heat comes. Today’s run is around Horn Pond. It was me and the stalkers for the two mile double loop around the pond. I embraced the cool of the morning and quiet around the pond. This was a good tester for my post acupuncture legs.
I felt good and I had a good pace. On Sunday, I’m running the BAA 10k. Today was good practice.
This is how I kick off summer post finishing 50 states and finding new running goals.
