Hills on an Ash Wednesday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This is the week to increase the mileage. On deck is 7 miles. My plan is to run 4 and do 3 miles of hills. Today was a run around Horn Pond. Now, my Strava stated I ran 7.17 miles. The garmin watch I got, had 6.70 miles. Ugh. To be on the safe said, I’ll follow the garmin. This week is school vacation week and it was quiet around the pond. Correction, the loud as geese, kept the sounds very loud even without people around.
I felt good running. Thanks Track Tuesday. Then I tried those hill. Damn, Damn, Damn. I practice running up them and then walking down them. Even running down them. My knees and calves felt it.
Over all my pace was 12:24mil/min. My time was 1hr 28 mins. I need more strength training to reduce those numbers. 6 more weeks to train. I’ll get there.
