COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

The heatwave is back. It’s 90 degrees and the humidity is killer. I wasn’t planning on walking today but I did. My co-ambassador was leading a run for the Boston 10k for Women training run at REI. We are both co- ambassador’s for the 10k run which is supported by REI. I signed up to lead a run in late September. By then I will be running and my boobs should be better. I was just going to say Hi and show some support. But I should have known better.

The BGR-Boston girl gang showed up. Then there were other cool ladies that I started talking with. It didn’t help that my friend Liz showed up too. I just said, oh hell, I’m going to participate and walk while these ladies run in the heat. :).

I walked, they ran. My friend A asked if she could walk me. I welcomed the company as we walked and chatted in the shade. It was fun. We saw some installation art and caught up with each other.

Afterwards, I had the ladies take a picture under my REI photo shoot. Yes!

Despite the heat and the late running start at 9 a.m. it was a good morning.
