Monday August 1st
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
I can’t believe it’s already August. Surprisingly it was 73 degrees this morning. A bit rainy, cloudy, and cool. Perfect running weather, if I was running. Today also starts week 2 of post surgery recovery. To kick off the month and Monday, I wanted to walk a 5k. I walked 2.51 miles instead. I know I could have done the 5k but I had a 8:30 meeting in Salem, Massachusetts and I wanted to get their on time.
I walked in Mary O’ Malley Park in Chelsea. It felt like I had the whole park to myself, which was great. I was able to think about my day, the meeting I was going to have and loss. A lof of loss yesterday. My cousin Russell passed away from throat cancer. Nichelle Nichols, who starred in Star Trek as Lt. Uhura, and Bill Russell, basketball player and civil right activist all passed away yesterday ,
It’s important to keep living your best life and do things that make an impact. My many thoughts when I walked this morning.
