5 miler chasing clouds
COVID- 19, “ The Rona Era”
The struggle is real. I did not want to get up out of bed this morning. The birds were chirping at 4a.m. and the light from the morning was slowly coming in my window. I hit snooze 3 times because I set my alarm for 4:55a.m. Why? I don’t know.
Today is 10k a.m. humpday run. I wanted to run early so I will have time to work on my manuscript. Well around 5:45a.m. is when I started to move and do the morning prep stuff to get ready to run. 6:10a..m. I was out the door. I told myself I should run a 5k because I wanted to be home, shower and changed to go to my coffee shop by 8 a.m.
The cool morning it was suppose to be, didn’t feel so cool to me. I ran along the East Boston Waterfront. Around mile 3 is when I felt my energy and groove. I ran along the waterfront, Pier’s Park, Shipyard, Loposi Park. I ran 5 miles instead of three. I didn’t get my 6 miles in. That is a goal to work towards tomorrow.
