COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Today feels like the perfect Spring morning. The sun is out, it’s cool, and the breeze is perfect. By 5a.m., when my alarm went off the sun was so bright. I should have gotten up then but I didn’t. I stayed in bed for a while. I will admit, when I started to move I didn’t do my full stretching exercises. I felt it while I ran. I need to put the stretching app back on my phone. I need six minutes in the morning for stretching- which is the bare minimum. I didn’t do six minutes this morning.
When I left the house it was 6 a.m. This is Track Tuesday a.m. workout. Traveling for two weeks, it has been a while since track Tuesday. Running to the track, I saw a good number of people walking, running, going up stadium steps, and playing soccer. The high school track team that I would see was not there. I guess school is over.
I went around the track five times mixing up my running speeds. Then I went up the stadium steps but the little dog that was waiting for it’s owner to come down the steps, decided to bark and follow me. I had to let the dog smell my hand to calm down. After that, the dog still continued to bark at me until the owner apologized and got her dog.
Then I ran back home for the final mile. Saw the dog walkers and more runners. To my surprise, there was a family of geese with their goslings just walking along. The parents made sure to protect their young as I ran by.
Yesterday, two miles, today four miles. Building back up.
