Eyes of March for Track Tuesday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
I think Spring is trying to visit today. This morning it’s 43 degrees out and it’s Track Tuesday. I don’t have to be super layered this morning. Mittens were needed because my hands get cold, the rest of the outfit was light. Tights, vest, and a cold weather top. That’s it.
My one oops, was not running with my headlight. It was twilight. A little dark but light was coming. Since we have changed the clocks to be an hour ahead, it is still dark at 5 a.m. Even though it gets lighter around 6:15/6:30a.m.
I started my slow and steady run towards the stadium. The park lights were still shinning bright around the stadium.
I mixed it up, as I tried to remember the track workouts I used to do with the Heartbreakers running company. I ran around the track six times. I mixed up my pace. Running “ fast” on the straight aways, running slower around the curbs. I would walk a bit then run. Trying to give myself some variety. I did this for 3 miles. Then I walked home which was a mile.
Because it is spring break, I can get more miles in this week. Today was an “ easy’ workout. Tomorrow will be a different story.
It was good to see people on the track. There was a group of 5 people working out on the field and running the stadium steps. I say High School boys waiting for their track or soccer coach to come. There was actions on the Track on Tuesday Morning.
