First 10k a.m. run of December

First 10k a.m. run of December

COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”

Training has started and the semester is ending. I need to start getting my head in the game and increase my weekly miles and add conditioning/strength training classes to my regime. This week, I ran four miles and did go to a strength training class at the Y. Because this is the last week of classes and I have an 8 a.m., I didn’t get in the miles I wanted. I own that. Today, was my “ long” with a 10k. The first 10k I’ve done this month.

I was shaking out the cobwebs from a leisure runner and taking lots of pictures to being focusing on the task at hand. I will build up to that because that didn’t happen today.

I did find my groove in 34 degree weather. I ran through Bremen street park to constitutional beach and back. Then I ran through the Shipyard. I could count on one hand the people that I saw out running/walking.

Starting baseline: 6.05 miles, 10:48ml/pace. 1hr 5mins. This is our starting point
