5k on a Wednesday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Another warm fall morning. 55 degrees out and I knew I didn’t need a lot of layers running this morning. Today would be a 10k a.m. humpday run. Instead I had a good 5k humpday run. I forgot that I had a 8 a.m. doctor’s appointment. If I wanted to be on time that meant leaving the house at 7:20a.m. and having my run finished by 6:30a.m. Of course I didn’t wake up until late, 5:45a.m. and by the time I drove to Mary O’Mallery Park- it was 6:10a.m. I should add, there was construction and no parking in the park. Surprise.
I had to make it work. I parked on the street outside of the park. I could stay there until 8a.m. people my car got ticked or towed because I didn’t have a Chelsea resident sticker.
That drama aside, it was still dark out. Headlight and shoes on, I ran under and over bridges for this mornings run. I saw one man running but that I was it. This was a good morning to run.
I didn’t get the 10k in because I was running late but hey to getting in the 5k.
