COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
It’s Sunday. I decided to sleep in and rest a bit. That’s what you do on a Sunday. Later today, there is an event called Reunite Our Community (ROC) Cookout and we are one of the sponsors. This is a community event in Franklin Park, to let the community know what resources are available for kids and families over the summer and also to showcase local talent. Basically it was a community cookout. We had to be there by 10 a.m. to set up our table.
A late sleep in, a run, grocery shopping and then community cookout. What I didn’t expect at 7 a.m. was the heat of summer during a spring morning. It was 71 degrees out by 7a.m. The sun and heat were not joke. My plan, as I had done before was to drive to the grocery store parking lot and run.
After running 2 miles, I was hot and my body was shock from the heat. This cold weather runner was not ready. I was super sweaty when I returned to my car and I wasn’t in the mood to go grocery shopping.
Plus I had to get ready to set up for the ROC cookout. I was all set today. Some running did happen. That’s a wine
