Pause to smell the flowers
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
It’s Monday again. The weekend just go so fast. But here we are….Monday. Today it doesn’t feel like spring. More of a fall mix. I wasn’t in the mood to run. I was all up in my Monday, start of the week feelings, but I made myself run at least a 5k, which I did.
On the running path, I saw someone running parallel to me across the street. I tried to keep up with her. She was my informal pacer. When I run alone, I’m not really challenging myself. Having someone run with me, if they knew it or not, is a good way to improve my running abilities. I kept up with her until she crossed the street. I crossed the street and went into Bremann Street Park . Even running in the park was side tracked because all of the gates were locked. The police officer hadn’t open them up yet. Oh Monday. I had to double loop through the park. Luckily as I’m in the process of this double loop, the police office drove up and opened one of the gates. No double loops in the park this morning.
I ran back on the streets, my favorite to finish off a 5k plus some change.
