Monday with people and geese
COVID-19 “The Rona Era”
I made it a point not to run this weekend. I was going to rest. Let me body, mind, and soul rest. Normally pre Rona I would have found a Mother’s day race to run on Sunday, mother’s day. No races are happening. I could have run 13.1 miles on Sunday but I didn’t. There is something, for me about a race on that space day. Sunday I did not run. Sunday I felt all kinds of body{ being on the period ) aches.
Today is Monday, I have to at least run a mile. That was my motivation. I ran 3.14 miles instead. I ran in Somerville and Medford by Assembly Row. Now that spring is in full effect it gets lighter earlier. 5:20 a.m. light. By the time I was at Assembly row, 6a.m., people were out walking along the Mystic River Reservation. They were walking, biking, even fishing at 6a.m. part of me was pissy. The morning is my time and space, when no one is around. This morning, everyone was around and out. grrrr.. Somerville has new law that requires people to wear their mask or they will be fined. At least everyone that I saw had a mask or face covering on. This is not always the case when I run in different neighborhoods.
Expect for a couple of women the majority of people I saw were men. There is diversity in this area. I saw asian and latinx men walking/running this morning as well.
I had on one of those gaiter face covers, plus my black girls run hat. I still had a hard time breathing and running. Only one person, said hi to me on the trail. I would say hi to people when I ran but that didn’t mean they would say hi back.
Running this morning was more than running into people. The geese were out in full force . The geese and their babies and all the geese families were out this morning. Again, I’m not sure about all the going on for a Monday. No the less, miles happened and I’m happy
