Miles and Miles on Monday
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Monday, Monday, Monday. It’s one of those things that comes every seven days. Here it is. I have to be very work productive this week. To start off the week strong, I wanted to do a long run this morning. Now, I was not sure what a long run would entail but I wanted it to be a long run. Today it was 42 degrees out, which is runable. I went to Mystic River Reservation by Assembly Row. To try something new on a Monday, I downloaded Strava running app. I wanted to try it and compare it to Map my Run app that I normally use.
Since I was leaving from the Iowan’s house, I didn’t bring my running jacket with me. I know I will get warmer as I run. I had to put on my warm rain jacket. If I get to hot I can tie it around my waste.
I was up by 5:15a.m. Did my morning stretches for 15 minutes before I left his house. My run started at 6:06 a.m. Luckily, there was light because I also forgot my headlight.
I ran my normal loop around the mystic. I felt good and strong. The Pelvic floor was not acting up. I didn’t know my pace or mileage because this app didn’t tell me. Thou, I may need to spend some time figuring it out. After my regular loop, I ran a 3k route that we ran with Trailblazhers for their 1 year anniversary run.
When I got to my car, the app told me I ran 9.57 miles. I was shocked. I didn’t think I ran that far. Again, I felt good and strong. I did get rest on Sunday. I should have finished it up and make it a 10 miler. I can do that for another time. Yay for a good surprise for Monday.
