Monday Morning
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Back to the Monday a.m. grind. This morning was a struggle. My alarm went off at 4:50 a.m. I got up and went to the coach and turn on the morning news. I dose and in out, while listening to the morning news until 6 a.m. It’s still winter and it’s still dark. Sunrise is at 7:12 a.m. The weather report said it the temperture was in the teens this morning and eventually it will warm up later today. That doesn’t help my current morning situation. I told myself to run one mile that was the bar I set for myself.
Running this morning didn’t seem as if it was in the teens. I was actually hot, perhaps over layered myself? This was just the perfect time to run. I could see the lights of the city and the sun rising up. All was quiet and peaceful. I kept on running. My one mile bar for myself became two. Then I just said screw it, I’ll make this at least a 5k run. 3.21 miles at 10:29 min/mil for the day.
